Trip Itinerary Details
DAY ONE
One way airfare flying Qantas Airways from Melbourne – Cairns, economy class. Transfer by private car to Silky Oaks Lodge.
3 nights accommodation at Silky Oaks Lodge in a garden retreat room. Breakfast and dinner included daily, selected premium wines and non-alcoholic beverages, in suite bar.
DAY TWO
Start the morning with a yoga session (included). Depart for your Daintree Tour – Aboriginal guides lead a tour of Kuku Yalanji country which encompasses both traditional and modern-day legends of the land. The Cultural Tour on the Daintree River’s southern side includes a guided rainforest walk learning about traditional hunting techniques, seasonal bush foods and medicine identification, while the sightseeing tour travels north, exploring Cape Tribulation and includes a guided rainforest walk with an introduction to seasonal bush foods and medicines. Return for your 7pm dinner, included.
DAY THREE
Depart at 9am by complimentary shuttle to Port Douglas for the very famous markets. Here you will find arts and crafts, jewellery, fruit and vegetables, glassware, books, coffee, boats, and more. Return to Silky Oaks Lodge for your 2pm couples massage, 1 hour duration. Spend the rest of the afternoon at your own leisure, ready for your 7pm dining experience, included.
DAY FOUR
Depart for Lizard Island today, a 50 minute flight from Cairns airport. Check in and enjoy a cheese platter in reception before having the afternoon at leisure. Choose your own dining time between 6pm and 8pm, and enjoy the incredible cuisine this evening. All meals, snacks and alcoholic beverages are included at this luxurious island, so be sure to make the most of it!
DAY FIVE
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and head to the Beach Club to collect your dinghy for the day. You will be given a safety briefing, and you can choose which private beach you wish to anchor at for the day. You will be armed with a picnic basket and champagne (and a walkie-talkie just in case) and enjoy your private experience. Dinner is included this evening.
DAY SIX
Day at leisure – perhaps do nothing, or participate in one of the activities listed on your daily schedule – the day is yours to choose!
DAY SEVEN
Have breakfast this morning by 10am and then head to your snorkelling tour, exploring Clam Gardens, Mermaid Cove or Horseshoe Reef. Return today for your 3pm couples massage (1 hour duration) and the rest of the day is yours to enjoy.
