I was watching Ted Lasso recently, and it was while watching Dani chant his infamous saying, "football is life!" that I realised I am him.  Except obviously I'm terrible with a soccer ball, but I am him relating to my job, my life - all of it.  Football isn't life for me, but travel certainly is! I live and breathe travel, I always have.  Ever since stepping on my first international flight to Bali when I was 19, I knew this is what I was going to do.  I wanted to see as much of the world as I could, and I wanted to be able to share my passion with others.

Fast forward a few (MANY!) years and this is where I am now - I have this amazing travel company, and I couldn't love anything more. I started The Travel Notebook to share, teach and help. Help people DREAM. We all work so hard in our day-to-day jobs, and we deserve to spoil ourselves with our travels. We deserve to have THE MOST amazing experiences possible. Form new friendships, show our children the world, fall in love. And have a million laughs along the way.

I am always asked the question, "where is your favourite place that you've been?" Well, it's WAY too hard to answer that! But here are a few of my favourites:

• Yellowknife, Canada for the Northern Lights

• Africa to remind me of how insignificant I am in this big world we live in

• Maldives for the crystal-clear water and everything else that comes with this incredible place

• Paris for the cheese

• New York for the shopping

• Whistler for the snow fights

• Australia to learn about my home

Let me leave you with my favourite travel quote:

"Life is short and the world is wide. I'd better get started..."

I remember sitting with the Career Advisor in Year 12, trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to do after I finished school. The only thing that I was so passionate about was to go travelling the moment I could. Even though we never went on any family holidays overseas, I constantly felt drawn to discovering the world. Every year since I would book one major trip to embark on. From the regular South-East Asia holiday to three months in Europe, South America, the United States, South Africa - I definitely had the travel bug!

People would constantly reach out to me saying how they envied my life and would always be asking me for all my tips on where to go and what to do.

Fresh out of school, in my eyes, the perfect job would have been becoming an air hostess, where I could see the world while working. Even though I didn’t end up heading down that path - I decided to study Tourism and also completed my Retail Travel certificate. My first job was working with an Australian tour company and from there I worked in retail travel and then decided to give corporate travel a go as well. As much as I love booking leisure travel, my passion would have to be corporate, as there is a lot of structure to my day. I love piecing together itineraries and bringing my organisation and problem-solving skills to the table.

I also have a strong passion for photography and I love telling my story through my photos. I love the editing process and bringing a landscape to life. Sharing my memories and the world to inspire people is why I love what I do. Travelling has always been such a big part of my life and I love every moment when I’m experiencing a new city, culture, and food. It really makes you the person you are today.

If there is one tip I have to give, it would be – don’t wait, if you want to go on that trip, just book and go. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. The world is your oyster, go enjoy your life and live it to the fullest!

I grew up in a family that embraced travel whether it be in regional Victoria or abroad which opened my eyes to the beauty of travel experiences and a deeper desire to keep exploring the world.  As an eager and rosy young adult, my passion for travel, food and culture only deepened whilst living and working in the United Kingdom given the easy opportunities to venture to exotic and fabulous European destinations, with a few side hustles to the United States!

The travel bug hit whilst living overseas and upon my return to Australia I began sharing my wanderlust with others and evolved into a high performing, award winning travel designer known for my ability to connect with clients and create memorable travel experiences with them. Creating the perfect itinerary whether it be family leisure holidays or curating a luxury experience exposes my clients to new perspectives; local and adventurous activities and the best food a region has to offer is truly something special!

So, let's go on a journey together!

Top Travel TIP: Rather than bouncing from one city stay to the next, consider extending your stay in key destinations and reducing the amount of travel and city visits to maintain a healthy balance of activity and adventure plus wining and dining time in your itinerary!
