Journey Overview
Pumphouse Point is located 2 ½ hours from Launceston. So once you arrive into Launceston airport, you’ll collect your car and then be on your way to arrive just after lunch.
Pumphouse Point is a unique adults-only retreat which is poised mysteriously on a glacial lake and surrounded by century-old forests. Luminous beauty grinds time to a halt; for quiet awe, calm, and reconnection, this is Tasmania at it’s most tranquil, or its most rugged. Keeping in mind all of your food is included in your stay, you just need to enjoy – relax – explore.
Your next stop is the beautiful Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge where you will spot many of Australia’s creatures. Be careful on the drive to the lodge as there are a lot of wallabies and kangaroos in the area! Explore the bush via hiking, or horseback riding, or jump in a canoe to see Cradle Mountain up close – there are so many activities to do here you certainly won’t be bored!
Trip Itinerary Details
DAY ONE
One way airfare flying Virgin Australia business class. Collect your car at Launceston airport and take a leisurely drive to Pumphouse Point, your home for the next 3 nights. Settle in this afternoon and the rest of the evening is yours at leisure. Your stay here is all inclusive – breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. As are your beverages. ENJOY!
DAY TWO
Start the morning with a delicious breakfast and then head off on your chosen activity for today. We suggest an adventure day – take off on your e-bikes with your picnic (prepared for you and left in your room) and find a beautiful tranquil spot to enjoy. Drift away in a Pumphouse Point dinghy in the afternoon, exploring hidden coves and let the lake guide you. Return to your room to prepare for your dinner this evening, included in your stay.
DAY THREE
Morning at leisure today to explore the surrounding area or just relax. Be still. Enjoy the amazing cuisine and just breathe. This afternoon, enjoy your individual massages for 1 hour of pure relaxation bliss, and then head to dinner feeling incredibly refreshed!
DAY FOUR
Check out today and head on a leisurely drive to your next stop - Cradle Mountain. The rest of the day is at leisure today to settle into this beautiful place.

DAY FIVE
Day at leisure.
DAY SIX
Today enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then head for your guided canoe trip this morning. Glide over Dove Lake on your 5km guided canoe trip and see Cradle Mountain as no one else can. You’ll need a moderate level of fitness, duration 4 hours. Return back to the lodge this afternoon for a 1 hour waterfall guided walk. Then get ready for your dinner back at the lodge (at own expense).
DAY SEVEN
Enjoy a day to yourself today – as it’s your last day we thought you could use the break!! BUT we have booked you in for a two hour couples recovery treatment today which consists of a massage, body scrub and express facial.
Dinner back at the lodge this evening, or venture out and explore the local area.
DAY EIGHT
Return the car to Launceston airport today for your flight home.
