Your journey begins by arriving in beautiful Darwin for a two night exploration of this city, enough to relax and get ready for the rest of your itinerary. El Questro is one of the most celebrated Australian Lodges, in terms of it’s unique position and it’s access to so many wonderful Kimberley experiences. We have suggested some of our favourite experiences at El Questro, but your concierge will tailor make your experiences on your arrival.

But your adventure doesn’t end here.

You still have Broome to follow! What a wonderful way to finish, by relaxing at the Cable Beach Club and still experiencing the best of the Kimberley. We love this itinerary so much that we might insist on you taking us with you!!!

Trip Itinerary Details

DAY ONE

Fly to Darwin and meet your private transfer for your journey to the Mindil Beach Casino Resort. The rest of the day is yours at leisure. Perhaps relax by the wonderful pool or venture out, the choice is yours!

DAY TWO

You have an early start today, but we promise it is well worth it! You will journey by air to Katherine where you will fly over Litchfield National Park, Bynoe Harbour, Cooinda Lodge and Jim Jim and land in Katherine to take your Nitmiluk Gorge cruise (total 9 hour duration). This evening, arrive late back at your hotel – we suggest dinner at Mindil as you’ll be exhausted. In the best way possible of course!

DAY THREE

This morning head to the airport for a very early morning start, for your flight to Kununurra. You will be collected at Kununurra airport for your private road trip to El Questro this morning and settle into this stunning lodge. Each day at the homestead is likely to start with birdsong and end with a locally sourced three-course dinner, and matched wines, under a blanket of stars. With almost 700,000 acres to explore, the homestead’s surrounding landscape is dramatic and expansive with something to offer everyone from adventurous explorers down to novice hikers and first-time four-wheel drivers.

DAY FOUR

El Questro tours and activities form an integral part of every visit to this stunning wilderness destination. The homestead offers a wide range of complimentary excursions that provide opportunities to fully immerse yourself in the natural attractions of the Wilderness Park. The majority are exclusive to homestead guests, facilitating engagement between the small group and their guide.

DAY FIVE

Enjoy your last day today at El Questro with an air tour and landing in the Bungle Bungles, then travelling by 4WD to Purnululu National Park. This afternoon arrive back at El Questro and enjoy your couple massage and relax before heading to dinner this evening.

DAY SIX

Depart early this morning back to Kununurra airport for your flight to Broome, your home for the next 3 nights. Transfer to Cable Beach Club and relax or venture out, The only thing we have planned for you today is a sunset camel ride along Cable Beach. Dinner is at leisure this evening.

DAY SEVEN

Enjoy low level flying over the amazing islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago and Cape Leveque before your seaplane lands safely in the calm waters of Talbot Bay right near the Horizontal Falls. Then enjoy a thrilling ride on the fastest boat in the Kimberley through the waterfalls, followed by a laid-back island cruise. Return to our luxury houseboat for a freshly prepared meal. Return to Broome by seaplane, with the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
